Blüthner Grand 190 cm (6ft 3in) Style 7
This grand piano was built in 1913 at the Julius Blüthner manufactory in Leipzig. With a length of 190 cm (6’3”), the Style VII represents a classic salon grand – perfectly balanced in proportions, offering a noble and resonant tone. This particular instrument comes without the Aliquot system, giving it a clearer, more direct sound character.
The piano has undergone a full restoration, including a high-gloss black polyester finish and a complete acoustic rebuild. The restoration comprised soundboard repair, refinished cast-iron frame, and installation of new bass and treble strings made from premium German materials by Degen and Röslau. The bridge caps were newly crafted, and the key sides veneered to restore the original aesthetic.
It is equipped with the original Blüthner Patent Action, now fitted with Abel Premium hammers and Renner damper felts, ensuring precise control, a warm tone, and excellent responsiveness.
An ideal choice for spacious homes or intimate concert venues, this beautifully restored instrument stands as a remarkable example of German piano-making artistry from the early 20th century.
